过氧化氢空间灭菌器，也称为气化过氧化氢灭菌或VHP，是医疗机构中低温灭菌的流行选择。它优于环氧乙烷灭菌，这反映在医院对环氧乙烷系统的使用日益减少。
VHP的一个优点是其熟悉度，因为过氧化氢在家庭中很常见，这使其具有无毒和环保的性质，从而增强了信心。此外，VHP工艺不需要通风，机器只需要电力作为公用设施，无需额外的水、蒸汽或压缩空气公用设施。

- 采用微电脑控制器和液晶显示屏控制，设备内置计算软件可自动计算喷雾量和喷雾时间，无需人工计算，计算结果显示在屏幕上；可预设时间，定时开关机；喷雾完成后，设备可自动关机，无需手动关机。
- 灭菌器周围有四个H形紫外线灯，可提高消毒速度，达到更好的消毒效果。
- 可杀灭空气中的肠道致病菌、化脓菌、细菌和芽孢，杀灭率高达6个对数；
- 无需外部气源，喷嘴配有溶剂过滤器，无堵塞喷嘴风险；
- 每立方米消毒所需消毒剂溶液不超过8ml；
- 过氧化氢溶液浓度不超过3%。
